Baseball Sweeps Midland
Teton Baseball picks up three wins against Midland University.
The first game did not come alive until the seventh inning where the Tetons trailed by four. Ben Hul came up with the bases loaded and hit a pinch hit double. The Tetons would tie the game shortly after. Hunter Houck gave the Tetons six innings in relief not allowing a run. In the eleventh, the tetons had a one run lead going into the bottom half. Midland would scored one and was on the verge of another with a runner of second and a base hit down the left field line. In many cases, this would have been the game. Clayton Mcallister fielded the ball and threw a strike to the plate from the left field wall, throwing out the winning run and extenting the game. The Tetons would finish things off in the fifteenth inning scoring two in the top half and having Tyler Smith shut the door for his fourth win of the season.
Game two finished 6-0 in a combined no hit effort from Rylan Penner and Dan Conway. Penner gave the Tetons six strong innings with eleven strikeouts.
The bats came alive in game three. Logan Warkentin hit a grand slam in the fourth giving the Tetons an extended lead. The game finished 17-5.
The Tetons will be back in action on Wednesday in Tucson, AZ against Western Technical College.
