Tetons top Northwest
WILLISTON, N.D. (November 7, 2019) – The Williston State College men's basketball team continued its hot start to the 2019-20 season, earning a big victory in the team's home opener.
Hosting Northwest College, the Tetons picked up a 109-76 victory in a game at The Well. The win boosts Williston's overall record to 3-1 to open the season.
The Tetons took a big first-half lead, leading 56-33 at halftime after shooting 60.5 percent (23-of-38). Williston also did well from distance throughout the game, making 12-of-23 three-point attempts. Defensively, WSC limited Northwest to just 41.5 percent shooting and just 3 free-throw attempts.
Williston had a quintet of players reach double-figures, led by Eden Holt's 24 points on a 6-of-7 performance at the three-point line. Kobey Lam finished with 21 points, while Jordan Kellier had 19 points. Jonathan Komagum scored 16 points and Shae Linton-Brown had 13 points.
WSC will host Sheridan College at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday inside The Well.
