Williston falls late to Otero
WILLISTON, N.D. (November 29, 2019) - The Williston State College men's basketball team suffered a late defeat at the hands of Otero Junior College in the Williston State Classic Friday.
The Tetons suffered a late 74-73 defeat at the hands of Otero in the only game of the Williston State Classic, after the tourney was shortened earlier this week due to weather-related concerns. The loss drops WSC's overall record to 7-3.
Tied 39-39 at halftime, two late Otero free-throws boosted the team past Williston late. The Tetons struggled offensively, shooting just 37.5 percent and making just 5-of-22 three-point shot attempts.
Kobey Lam and Jordan Kellier both scored 20 points to lead Williston. Eden Holt also had 14 points.
The Tetons will play Friday in a tournament in Iowa.
