Basketball splits with LRSC
Teton Basketball splits with Lake Region State College.
The first place Lady Tetons led off the double header with a 66-57 loss to the third place Royals. This was just their first conference loss of the season. The Lady Tetons trailed 31-20 at the half. Despite a 20-point fourth quarter effort the Royals prevailed.
Canzan Hisbadhorse led the way with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and an assist. Taylor Moffat had 15 points, 6 assists and 2 rebounds. The Lady Tetons shot 35.3% from the field and just 26.1% from three. They will remain at the top of the MonDak leaderboard with an 11-1 conference record.
The Men would conclude the double header with a 79-75 win over the Royals. The Tetons Trailed 24-35 at the end of the first half. They were able to take the lid off the basket as they more than doubled their first half scoring total in the second half.
Tyler Best was the difference maker for the Tetons. He had 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Benjamin Yombi had a special double double with 10 rebounds and 10 assists to go along with his 9 points. The Teton Men shot32.4% from the field and 30.8% from three. They now move into 7th place in the MonDak with a 3-9 conference record.
