Basketball Sweeps Bismarck State on the road.
The Williston State College basketball teams were on the road Tuesday night. They took on the Bismarck State College Mystics in Bismarck, ND. The women would look to separate themselves at the top of the conference standings, while the men are looking to win their fourth game out of the last five.
The Lady Tetons started off the night with a blowout 90-55 win. For many, this was their first chance to see the 2024 Lady Tetons as the game was televised on BEK TV. As they have done so many times this year, they showed why they are sitting at the top. There were five Lady Tetons in double digits but there were two that stood out. Taylor Moffat and Canzas Hisbadhorse both had 18 points. The Women are now 21-3 overall and sit on top of the MonDak.
The Men's game saw a much different type of game. The scoring went back and forth all night. At the end of regulation, we were all tied at 80. The game would require a second overtime to find a winner. The Tetons would prevail 107-97 after outscoring the Mystics 18-8 in the second OT. Rex Stirling had 31 points and 19 rebounds. Richard Massey had 20 points, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds. The Tetons shot 51.3% from the field and 39.3% from three. This was their third straight road win. They now sit at 9-15 overall and are climbing back into contention for a home playoff game.
The Tetons are back in action on Wednesday night as they take on Lake Region in "The Well".
