Mcqueen Commits to Mayville State University
Sophomore infielder Jack Mcqueen has committed to play baseball at Mayville State University. Mcqueen is from West Jordan, Utah and was the starting second baseman on last year's Region XIII Championship team. Mcqueen hit .319 with 45 hits. Mcqueen made his presence felt with runners on base. He had 33 RBI's on the season with 26 of them coming during conference play. Mcqueen is also an exceptional defender at second. He fielded 98% and had 69 assists and 76 put outs.
Mayville State University is a part of the North Star Athletic Association in the NAIA.
Coach Przybilla: "Jack is one of the players that coaches love to put in their lineup. You know what you are going to get with him. He is a consistent defender, he puts together competitive at bats, and he doesn't let his emotions get the best of him. You can't ever really tell if he is 4-4 or 0-4. I am happy he has found a 4-year home that wants to bring him in to compete to play every day. We are all very proud of the work he has done but there is much to come for jack as a Teton."
