WSC tops Lake Region State
NEW TOWN, N.D. (November 2, 2019) - Just two games into the 2019 season and things are looking strong for the Williston State College men's basketball team.
A night after opening with a large win, the Tetons responded with another impressive win in the MonDak preseason tournament. Williston defeated Lake Region State College on Saturday by a score of 96-82. The win lifts Williston's record to 2-0.
Williston trailed 45-34 at halftime, shooting just .375 in the first half. However, the Tetons caught fire in the second, shooting .649 (24-of-37) and outscoring the Royals, 62-47, in the later period.
Jordan Kellier led the Tetons with 21 points, while Eden Holt posted 18 points. Kobey Lam finished with 17 points. Shae Linton-Brown had 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
Williston State will play Sunday for the tournament championship at 5:15 pm.
