Williston State Softball announces signing of Nevada prospect
WILLISTON, N.D. (December 2, 2019) - The Williston State College softball program announced the signing of a Nevada prospect Monday.
Terrena Martin, an outfielder from Pahrump Valley High School in Pahrump, Nev., announced her signing with the Lady Tetons on Monday. Martin was First-Team All-Conference, in centerfield and was the 2019 Offensive Player-of-the-Year in her league.
She brings a 3.5 GPA academically and a phenomenal set of stats from her Senior year of softball. In 30 games played and 111 at bats she ramped up 54 runs on 60 hits and carried a .486 BA. She has great vision in the box with 19 BB and only 12 SO. She is also a threat to any catcher with 23 of 24 stolen base attempts. Terrena is a play maker and we could not be more thrilled to have her as a Teton!
Williston State is set to open the 2020 season on February 1 against Dakota College at Bottineau.
