Tetons bounce back and win both on Sunday.
Teton softball bounced back after dropping the first two games of the season by winning both on Sunday. The Tetons took on Miles Community College in game one and Dakota College in game two.
For the first time in school history the Teton softball team defeated the Pioneers from MCC. They won an 8-3 ball game on the heels of sophomore pitcher Kaleigh Topilko who went 5 innings and allowed only 5 hits and 3 earned runs. The Tetons played a perfect game defensively, making no errors. Jenna Etcheberry went 3-4 with two triples and 4 RBI's. Alyssa Oliver was 2-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
In the second game of the split double header the Tetons beat Dakota College 18-5 in 5 innings. Chelsea Creech went 2-2 with a triple, an RBI and scored 3 runs. Alexis Stahlman went 2-4 with a double and an RBI. The Tetons collectively had 13 hits and drew 9 walks.
"It was good to come out and play clean softball. We got a chance to see what our offense is capable of," said head coach Jared Ward. "We needed to bounce back after a hard fought first day of games."
Softball will hit the road March 4th and head to Coco Beach, FL where they will play twelve games in nine days to round out their non-conference schedule.
