Moffat Commits to Portland State
Willston State's, Taylor Moffat, will be continuing her basketball career as she is moving on to play at Portland State.
Moffat was recently selected NJCAA All-American after averaging 16.6 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Tetons. She knocked down 70 three-pointers on 40.9 % shooting from beyond the arc last season, led the Lady Tetons to a Mon-Dak Athletic Conference regular-season title after going 19-2 against conference opponents. She was named the MVP of the Mon-Dak Conference as well as a first-team all-Region and MVP of the Buster Gillis Tip-off Tournament and MonDak Player of the Week multiple times.
"Taylor was an integral part of our season's success and provided leadership on and off the floor" stated Teton head coach, Bill Triplett." "She also served on one of our co-captains, compiled a 4.0 grade point average, and was everything that you could ask for in a player. Playing in our backcourt alongside Teton standout, Elizabeth Field, Moffat thrived and gave us what I feel was the top backcourt combo in the nation".
"I want to thank Williston State, but especially Coach Triplett for the opportunity and experience he has given me", commented Moffat. "He has supported and pushed me which has made me a better player and person. I am super excited for my future as a Viking at Portland State.
