Bio

Jared Ward is entering his second year as the Head Women's Softball Coach. His baseball career began as his family moved between Florida and Colorado, where baseball was a familiarity in each new place. After high school, he moved-on to play NCAA Division II at Salem International University (Salem University) in West Virginia where he graduated with his MBA in Sports and Recreational Management. In 2017 he moved to Williston State College and was an Assistant Baseball Coach for 2 years, where they won the Conference Tournament and Conference Championship.  This was the first time in MONDAK Baseball history that the same team won the conference and the conference tournament. Coach Dub transitioned shortly after that to being the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Williston State College where he was asked to not only serve the softball team in the weight room, but to join the coaching staff on the diamond.  Two seasons after that, he was selected as the Head Women's Softball Coach.  “I’m filled with a lot of emotions right now. I am excited for the challenges that lie ahead, and I am looking forward to working alongside the staff to give these girls the year they want to have.” Said Coach Ward when his first season was beginning. “Our staff is hitting the ground running with recruiting, practice plans, and reaching out to mentors. We aim to build a competitive program and create avenues for current and future Tetons to have successful careers long after Williston State, on the field and in life.”

A year later, "Things are alot different from year one to two.  We have had more time to recruit and really begin to set a foundation for the program to build from.  Our staff is extremely excited for our returning sophomores, they are hungry and ready to roll.  The freshman that are joining us are also a talented bunch, bright eyed and excited to stop beating up eachother in practices and finally get to play some different colored jerseys." - Coach Ward
