Williston State College is proud to announce the appointment of Jolyssa Marquart as the interim head coach for the women's volleyball team. A Williston native and Teton Volleyball alumni, Jolyssa brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role.

Jolyssa has been an integral part of the Teton coaching staff for the past two years. This past season, she helped coach the Tetons to a deep playoff run to the Region Championship match, taking 2nd place. During her time as a player at WSC, she achieved remarkable success, ranking 2nd place for digs and digs per set in the Mon-Dak conference, and being named to the NJCAA DII All-Region XIII team. She graduated from WSC with an Associate of Science degree and continued her student-athlete career at Bethany College in Kansas, where she played as a defensive specialist/libero (DS/L) in the NAIA (KCAC) league in 2021.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Jolyssa stated, "I am really excited and grateful to be taking the position as interim head coach. This upcoming team has a lot of talent and I'm eager to see what this season will hold for the Tetons. My goal for this season is to expand on the values Coach Muder and I shared with the team last year. The values include a healthy/positive mindset and increasing their volleyball IQ. I can't wait to share my knowledge and passion for the game with the 2024-2025 Teton volleyball team!"

Williston State College is confident that under Jolyssa's leadership, the Teton volleyball team will continue to thrive and build on the strong foundation established in previous seasons. Her commitment to fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment aligns perfectly with the college's values and aspirations for its athletic programs.

Williston State College will conduct a national search for the next head volleyball coach at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
