Tetons Sweep Northwest College in Stellar Performances by Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams
Williston, ND – The Williston State College Tetons put on an impressive display on their home court, earning a clean sweep over Northwest College. The women's team secured a decisive 76-63 victory, while the men's team followed suit with a hard-fought 79-71 win.
Teton Women Shine Behind Kunze's Dominance
The Teton women's basketball team extended their strong start to the season with their ninth victory, thanks to a commanding performance from Allison Kunze. Kunze delivered a game-high 26 points, coupled with 10 rebounds and 6 steals, dominating on both ends of the court.
She wasn't alone in leading the charge. Taylah Murtagh and Jersey Berg joined Kunze in double-digit scoring, ensuring the Tetons maintained control throughout the game. Their balanced offense and relentless defense kept Northwest College at bay, securing another notch in the win column.
Teton Men Triumph in Back-and-Forth Thriller
The men's game provided plenty of excitement as the Tetons battled Northwest in a game marked by momentum swings and clutch moments. Ultimately, Williston State prevailed, improving to an 8-3 record on the season.
Richard Massey emerged as the X-factor off the bench, pouring in 19 points in a pivotal role. Reigning MonDak Player of the Week Rex Stirling continued his outstanding play, recording a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Ian Johnson and Josiah McDonald also contributed key baskets, each scoring in double figures to help seal the victory.
