Stark wins Rawlings Gold Glove Award
Sophomore catcher Zach Stark has won the NJCAA Division II Rawlings Gold Glove Award. This award is given out to the most outstanding defensive player at each position in the country. Stark was one of the best catch and throw guys in all of college baseball this spring. He threw out twenty seven runners which not only gave him one of the best percentages in the country (RCS) but, put him among the top assist leaders in the country as well. Stark fielded 99.5% and caught fifty games for the Tetons this spring. Stark was the sole pitch caller for a Teton pitching staff that ended the regular season with a 3.98 ERA and 360 strikeouts.
Stark is from Medicine Hat, Alberta and is committed to play next year at Mid America Christian University (NAIA).
