Brayden Bunnell signs with Bismarck State College
Williston, ND — Sophomore first baseman Brayden Bunnell has officially committed to Bismarck State College, marking the next chapter in his baseball journey. A Mandan, ND native, Bunnell played a pivotal role in the Williston State Tetons' impressive 36-17 record during the 2024 season.
At the plate, Bunnell showcased his consistency and clutch hitting, posting a .307 batting average with 4 doubles, 2 triples, and 16 RBIs. Known for his reliability in key situations, Bunnell is expected to be a middle-of-the-order force for the Tetons this season before he takes his talents to Bismarck.
"Brayden has worked hard for this opportunity," said Tetons Head Coach Przybilla. "He has developed great habits in his time here and has been one of the best team guys you could ask for. It's a bit unusual seeing guys head to Bismarck State now, with them moving to the NAIA in the fall, but I think it's a great fit for Brayden. He'll bring a lot of local support to the Mystics program."
Bismarck State College's transition to the NAIA and their entry into the Frontier Conference in fall 2025 will offer Bunnell the chance to compete at a higher level while staying close to home. His addition is expected to bolster the Mystics' lineup as they look to make an immediate impact in their new conference.
As Bunnell prepares for his final season with the Tetons, fans and teammates alike will be watching closely, knowing that his leadership and on-field contributions will leave a lasting mark on Williston State baseball.
