Baseball wins three against Lake Region
The Williston State College baseball team put together an impressive performance over the weekend, winning three of four games in their series against Lake Region State College. The Tetons showcased both their offensive firepower and pitching dominance, improving to 6-2 in conference play.
The series opener saw the Tetons grind out a 12-10 victory in a high-scoring affair. Game 2 featured a pitching gem from Cameron Fenn, who delivered a stellar performance on the mound. Fenn went seven innings, allowing just one run on two hits while striking out seven in an 8-1 victory.
The Tetons continued their offensive surge in Game 3, securing a 13-11 win behind clutch hitting. Kleysen Gabruck had a strong weekend at the plate, tallying six hits, including two doubles. Brayden Bunnell was unstoppable at the plate, collecting 10 hits throughout the series, including a solo home run in Game 4. However, the final game slipped away as Lake Region walked it off in an 8-7 heartbreaker.
Despite the tough loss in the finale, the Tetons are riding strong momentum as they prepare for their next challenge. Williston State will be back in action at home on Wednesday against Dakota College, looking to extend their success in conference play.
