Baseball Takes Sunday/Monday Series Against Dakota College at Bottineau
WILLISTON, N.D. — April 7, 2025
The Williston State College baseball team put together a statement weekend, sweeping a four-game series against Dakota College at Bottineau in commanding fashion. The Tetons relied on dominant pitching and sharp defense to take all four games, outscoring the Jacks 42-6 across the series.
WSC set the tone early with a 6-3 win in Game 1, followed by an 8-3 victory in Game 2. The Tetons then completely shut down DCB in the final two games, winning 10-0 and 18-0 in back-to-back shutouts.
Pitching continued to be the hallmark of the Tetons' success. In Game 3, sophomore right-hander Cameron Fenn turned in another masterful outing, mirroring his performance from last weekend. Fenn went the distance, throwing 7 scoreless innings on just 80 pitches, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 8.
Game 4 saw another complete-game shutout, this time from Collin Cobb. The freshman stepped up with 5 strong innings, striking out 6 and keeping DCB hitters off balance all afternoon.
The Tetons' defense backed up their pitching staff with solid play in the field, while the offense exploded for 28 runs in the final two games to seal the sweep.
With the series win, Williston State continues to build momentum heading into this weekend's showdown against conference rival Miles Community College.
