Teton Baseball takes down Dawson, Sweeps Four-Game Series
WILLISTON, N.D. — The Williston State College baseball team closed out its final road series of the regular season in dominant fashion, sweeping Dawson Community College in a four-game set with wins of 6-2, 6-3, 12-1, and 4-1.
It was a statement weekend for the Tetons, who got contributions up and down the roster but leaned heavily on outstanding pitching performances to set the tone.
In Game 1, veteran right-hander Matt Thompson delivered yet another gem, going the distance with a 7-inning, 4-hit outing. He allowed just 2 runs while striking out 5 en route to his 7th win of the season, continuing to anchor the Teton rotation with poise and consistency.
Game 3 featured more brilliance on the bump—this time from sophomore Cameron Fenn. Efficient and electric, Fenn needed just 59 pitches to get through 5 innings, allowing a single run and fanning 8 Buccaneer hitters in a performance that helped fuel the Tetons' offensive explosion in the 12-1 win.
Across all four games, the Teton lineup provided steady run support, capitalizing on Dawson's mistakes and coming through with timely hits. The sweep gives Williston State momentum heading into the final weekend of the regular season.
The Tetons will wrap up their regular season schedule at home this weekend against North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), looking to finish strong before turning their focus to the postseason.
