Teton Baseball Season Ends in Region 13 Tournament Heartbreaker
WILLISTON, N.D. — The 2025 Williston State College baseball season came to an emotional close this week at the Region 13 tournament, as the Tetons fell in back-to-back games to Bismarck State (7-2) and Miles Community College (4-3). Despite entering the tournament as MonDak Conference champions and the No. 1 seed, Williston State was unable to capitalize on home-field advantage at their newly opened ballpark.
The tournament was a tale of missed opportunities. In two games, the Tetons stranded an eye-popping 22 runners in scoring position—a stat that proved costly in both contests. The bats, so dominant all season, went uncharacteristically quiet in the moments that mattered most.
"We had our chances, no doubt," said Head Coach [Przybilla]. "We just couldn't get the timely hit when we needed it. That's baseball. Sometimes it doesn't go your way, even when you play good ball."
Despite the disappointing finish, the 2025 campaign was one of the best in program history. The Tetons finished with an impressive 37-13 record, capturing the MonDak title and energizing a fanbase that showed up in force all season long—especially to break in the brand-new, state-of-the-art ballpark.
"This team gave the fans and alumni something to be proud of," said Coach [Przybilla]. "We want to thank everyone who came out, supported us, and made this place feel electric. Our student-athletes will never forget it."
As the dust settles on the 2025 season, the Tetons look ahead with pride in what they accomplished and hunger for what's next. With the foundation set and a new home established, the future of Williston State baseball remains bright.
