Men's Basketball tops UTTC
WILLISTON, N.D. – The Williston State College Tetons men's basketball team secured a thrilling 94-91 victory over United Tribes Technical College in a high-scoring contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Both teams traded blows throughout the night, with neither side willing to back down. The Tetons displayed a balanced offensive attack, while the Thunderbirds leaned heavily on a remarkable performance from Houston Davis, who poured in 43 points for UTTC.
Leading the charge for Williston State was Rex Stirling, who delivered a standout performance with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 assist. Stirling's dominance in the paint and on the boards was instrumental in the Tetons' hard-fought win.
The Tetons also benefited from strong bench contributions, with Eden Hobbs and Demetric Kindle both scoring in double digits to provide crucial support. Their efforts helped Williston State keep pace with UTTC's relentless offensive pressure.
Despite Davis's scoring explosion, UTTC fell just short as the Tetons' collective effort proved to be the difference-maker. The game showcased resilience, teamwork, and determination from both squads, but it was Williston State that emerged victorious in the end.
With this win, the Tetons continue to build momentum as they navigate their season, demonstrating that their depth and balanced scoring can overcome even the most formidable individual performances.
