Tommaso Deangelis Named Head Hockey Coach
WILLISTON (WSC) – Williston State College has hired Tommaso Deangelis as its next head hockey coach.
Deangelis, worked last season as the head coach at the University of Providence (MT). Denagelis has also worked for the Nashville Predators and Rutgers University (ACHA). "He'll begin his new position at WSC on Tuesday, August 1st," said President Hirning.
A native of Annapolis, MD. Deangelis, is poised and ready to take over the program. "I just want to thank the College, and President for hiring me and anyone else involved in the process. I am looking forward to the opportunity to coach this team, and welcoming a new era of hockey to Williston State. I am excited to get started and bringing a winning, and fun attitude to the program. I am looking forward to our first game and a big win in the first game of the season."
"Tommaso is a hockey guy through and through. His coaching experience at almost every level of hockey showcases that. We are excited about the direction Teton hockey and look forward to coach Deangelis getting to Williston and joining Teton Athletics," said athletic director Alex Herman.
Deangelis earned his bachelors degree in business administration from St. Michael's College (VT) in 2009.
Deangelis replaces Donavan Gault who stepped down this spring after leading the WSC hockey program for two seasons. Deangelis becomes the 4th head coach in program history.
