Jimmy Grosklaus Named Head Hockey Coach
Williston State College athletic director Alex Herman has announced the hiring of the next head hockey coach. Jimmy Grosklaus will be tasked with leading the program back to its glory days. Grosklaus is a native of Colorado Springs, CO. He played his junior hockey in the RMJHL for the Aspen Leafs and the Pikes Peak Minors. Grosklaus would then go on and play for the Tetons for two seasons under former head coach John Bowkus. Following his time as a Teton, Grosklaus would spend a year at the University of Jamestown and two years at Utah State University. Grosklaus has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Utah State University.
"We are very fortunate to have coach Grosklaus leading Teton hockey, "said athletic director Alex Herman. "Anytime you are able to bring an alum back to the program that has familiarity to the campus and community it is a good thing."
"I'm excited to get back into town and get to work with the guys," said head coach Jimmy Grosklaus. "I would really like to thank the school and the athletic staff for giving me such a great opportunity."
Jimmy and his girlfriend Alexandra have begun to pack and plan to be in Williston on Monday. He will be behind the bench for the first time when the Tetons take on Lake Region State College on November 3rd.
