Tetons Swept by Jamestown in Tough Home Series
The Williston State College Tetons hockey team faced a challenging weekend at home, falling to the University of Jamestown in back-to-back games. The Tetons struggled to find their offensive rhythm, dropping both contests by identical scores of 7-1.
The series opened Saturday night at the Raymond Center, where the Tetons hoped to capitalize on home-ice advantage. Despite numerous scoring opportunities, including several power plays, Williston State couldn't convert their chances into goals. Jamestown's aggressive forecheck and clinical finishing kept the Tetons on their heels throughout the game.
Sunday's rematch brought similar frustrations for the Tetons. Once again, their offensive opportunities went unfulfilled, while Jamestown executed with precision. The visitors built another early lead and never looked back.
With the pair of losses, the Tetons' record falls to 5-13 on the season.
