Williston State Tetons defeated the Bismarck State Mystics 5 6-5 on Saturday.
Williston State Tetons got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Hailey Hunt grounded out, and Jersey Berg singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Jada Walter doubled to center field on an 0-2 count, which helped Bismarck State Mystics 24-25 tie the game at two in the top of the third.
In the bottom of the third, Williston State Tetons broke up the tie when Lily Adams singled, scoring one run. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 5-2.
Adams stepped in the circle first for Williston State Tetons. The righty surrendered 10 hits and five runs (four earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking none. Haily Molde stepped in the circle first for Bismarck State Mystics 24-25. The starter surrendered two hits and five runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking three.
Adams, showed the depth of Williston State Tetons's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Hunt, Cameron Macdonald, and Adams each drove in one run for Williston State Tetons.
