Williston State Women’s Basketball Sweeps Teton Booster Club Classic
In their first matchup, the Tetons dominated Rocky Mountain College JV, cruising to an 84-37 victory. The team's defensive intensity stifled Rocky's offense, while their own scoring depth was on full display. Lucia Bellido led the charge, showcasing her offensive prowess with a game-high 19 points. The Tetons' ability to control the pace and execute in transition proved too much for Rocky to handle.
The momentum carried into the second game against North Idaho College, where the Tetons secured a 74-56 win. While the contest was more competitive, Williston State maintained control throughout, thanks in large part to a stellar performance by Jersey Berg. The sophomore forward stuffed the stat sheet, contributing 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Her leadership on both ends of the floor was instrumental in the victory, as the Tetons outworked North Idaho in key moments.
The Tetons' strong showing in the tournament reflects their growing confidence and team chemistry as they navigate a challenging early schedule. With a 5-2 record, Williston State looks poised to make waves in the coming weeks.
Up next, the Tetons will hit the road for another holiday tournament in Minnesota.
