Williston State Women’s Basketball Dominates Dawson Community College, 100-68
The Williston State College Tetons Women's Basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Saturday night, defeating Dawson Community College 100-68 in Glendive, MT. The Tetons were firing on all cylinders, combining offensive firepower with lockdown defense to secure the victory.
Head Coach Tripplet put his trust in his starting five, asking them to log heavy minutes, and they rose to the occasion. Each starter played over 30 minutes and contributed double-digit scoring. Leading the charge was Allison Kunze, who put together a stellar all-around performance with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Kunze also made her presence felt on the defensive end, recording 2 blocks and 2 steals.
Allie Garcia complemented Kunze's effort with a strong showing of her own, tallying 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists. Garcia's court vision and ability to create plays were instrumental in the Tetons' offensive rhythm.
The team's balanced scoring attack proved too much for Dawson to handle. Alongside Kunze and Garcia, the other three starters also hit double figures, showcasing the depth and chemistry of this Williston State squad. The Tetons' offensive efficiency was matched by their stifling defense, as they held Dawson to just 38.8% shooting from the field and an icy 27.6% from beyond the arc.
The Tetons' ability to dominate on both ends of the court highlights their potential as they continue their season. With this win, Williston State sets a high standard for their performance, leaving no doubt that they are a team to watch in the region.
