Tetons Dominate Dawson in Region 13 Playoff Opener
WILLISTON, N.D. – The Williston State College women's basketball team made a powerful statement in the opening round of the Region 13 playoffs, dismantling Dawson Community College 86-26 in a commanding victory.
From the opening tip, the Tetons imposed their will on both ends of the court, setting the tone with relentless defense and efficient scoring. Williston State held the Buccaneers to just 22.2% shooting from the field and an abysmal 5.3% from beyond the arc, completely stifling Dawson's offensive efforts.
Leading the charge for the Tetons was Kylie Simpson, who put together a stellar performance with 18 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists. Her ability to facilitate the offense while also scoring efficiently proved instrumental in the team's dominant showing.
Allison Kunze also delivered a well-rounded performance, contributing 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals, showcasing her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
