Women's Basketball Post Season Awards
The Williston State College Women's Basketball team capped off a successful season with two players receiving prestigious postseason honors in the Mon-Dak Conference. Sophomore standout Allison Kunze was named the 2024-25 Mon-Dak Player of the Year, while freshman Jersey Berg earned a spot on the Mon-Dak First Team.
Kunze, a dominant force for the Tetons, put together an exceptional season, averaging 17.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Shooting an impressive 65% from the field, she was a consistent offensive threat and proved to be a defensive stalwart, locking down opponents throughout the season. Her all-around performance and leadership played a crucial role in the team's success, making her a well-deserved recipient of the conference's top individual award.
Joining Kunze in postseason accolades, Jersey Berg's selection to the Mon-Dak First Team highlights her invaluable contributions to the Tetons. As a young player, Berg stepped up in a major way, showcasing her talent on both ends of the floor while also providing much-needed leadership. Her ability to impact the game in multiple facets was instrumental in Williston State's strong season.
Allie Garcia was also named to the Mon-Dak First Team. Known for her sharp shooting, Garcia was a key offensive weapon for the Tetons, knocking down 38.8% of her three-point attempts this season. Her ability to stretch the floor and provide consistent perimeter scoring added another dynamic element to Williston State's attack.
With Kunze's dominance, Berg's rising potential, and Garcia's sharpshooting, the Tetons continue to build a foundation for success. Their recognition in the Mon-Dak Conference not only honors their hard work but also reflects the growing strength of the Williston State women's basketball program.
