Tetons Sign Montana Standout
Williston State Head Women's Basketball Coach, Bill Triplett, and the Teton's Head Volleyball Coach, Nathan Martell, have announced the signing of Dani Jordan, a Montana two-time All-State selection in both sports. Jordan starred at Lockwood High School in Billings, Montana, where she put up big numbers in basketball this season for the Lions, scoring 17.9 points per game and yanking down 7.7 rebound per contest. She also averaged 3.3 steals per game and 2.6 assists. Jordan stands at 5'8"and is comfortable at playing both point guard and shooting guard. Jordan scored over 1000 points in her high school career and grabbed over 500 rebounds. During the fall, Jordan also surpassed the 1000 kills plateau, as well as 1000 digs on the volleyball floor.
"We're excited that Dani chose to be a Teton", stated Coach Triplett. "She checks all the boxes, on the court, in the classroom, and in the locker room. She will excel in the up-tempo game in basketball and will also be a great addition to Coach Martell's volleyball squad. In basketball, Dani has the ball-handling skills to get to the rim and also has very good vision and passing skills. She can score at all three levels and will fit in perfectly with our style of play. To put it simply, Dani's a winner. She competes. I like players that have a high motor, and she does. She helped lead Lockwood to the State A tournament this year, and I really liked what I saw in her game".
We asked Dani her reasons for choosing Williston State over several four-year schools that had made her offers and she replied, "I chose Williston State College because during my visit, it felt like the perfect place for me to grow both on and off the court. The opportunity to play basketball and volleyball at the next level while getting a solid education means a lot to me, and I'm excited to be part of a program that supports my goals".
