Laramie Schwenke, a Malta, Montana native, is in her third year as the associate head women's basketball coach at Williston State.  Having ten years of experience in coaching and athletic administration before joining the Tetons, Coach Schwenke has a lot to offer the program.

As a high school player, Schwenke was a 4-year starter and two-time All-State selection at Malta High School. Her teams qualified for the state tournament in each of her four seasons, capped with a State Class B title in 2007. She wrapped-up her high school career as the school’s all-time leader in assists and was selected to play in the prestigious Montana-Wyoming All-Star game in 2008.
During her collegiate career at Montana State University-Northern, Schwenke was a three-year starter, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors as a junior and First Team All-Conference selection as a senior. She was a 2012 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. She was a three-time Frontier Conference Player of the Week and helped her team lead the country in three-point percentage. Laramie began her coaching career as a student assistant in 2012 at MSU-Northern and became the school’s Sports Information Director and women’s basketball assistant coach in 2013-2014. That season, the Skylights qualified for the NAIA Division I National Tournament, advancing to the round of 16. Schwenke has spent five years at Harlem High School, four as the head girls basketball coach. In addition, she has served as the school’s athletic director for two years. She spent one season at NCAA Division I Idaho State University where she worked as an assistant in the women’s basketball program and earned her Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration.
