Williston State Volleyball Triumphs Over Dakota College in Four-Set Thriller
The Tetons opened the match with a thrilling first-set victory, edging Dakota College 28-26 in a back-and-forth battle that set the tone for the night. Both teams traded momentum, but Williston State's poise under pressure allowed them to close out the set in extra points.
Riding the wave of their first-set win, Williston State dominated the second set, pulling away early and never looking back en route to a convincing 25-15 victory. The Tetons' balanced attack and solid defense kept Dakota College on their heels, giving the home side a 2-0 lead in the match.
However, Dakota College wasn't ready to go quietly. They stormed back in the third set, capitalizing on errors by the Tetons and finding rhythm with their own attack to win the set 25-17, keeping the match alive.
Leading the charge for Williston State was Ella Morken, whose dominant performance at the net was pivotal to the Tetons' success. Morken registered a team-high 13 kills, consistently finding gaps in Dakota College's defense and keeping the pressure on throughout the match.
The win marks a key victory for the Tetons as they look to build on a big win. The Tetons are now 1-1 in MonDak play and are back in action at home on September 10th.
