Teton Softball Opening Weekend
February 11th and 12th...
The 2023 Softball Season opened up in Minot, North Dakota where the Tetons met up with the other schools in the MonDak Athletic conference for a preseason conference tournament. A time to stop beating up our own team and go complete against another squad. "Any time you can play ball in February, it's a good time." Coach Ward said.
The Tetons began the season against Lake Region State College. Losing that game on a walk-off sacrifice fly at the time limit. The Tetons would go on to finish the weekend 0-4. "We played a few solid games that got away from us in the late innings. We got to see our defensive plays live, got to see some freshman shine and have good film for our team to continue to adjust their approaches at the plate and in the circle. You never want to end a weekend with a 0 in the win column, ever. But come conference time, we will be a much tougher team to beat. The girls are fired-up, our staff is dialed-in, its going to be a good year. Go Tetons!" - Coach Ward
