Teton Baseball Wins Four
Teton Baseball picked up four wins in Alamosa, CO on the weekend. The four game series saw a lot of action on the scoreboard as WSC was able to put up double digit runs in each of the four games.
Game 1 finished 13-10 in favor of the Tetons. Brady Miles and Logan Warkentin each had three hits in the ball game. The Tetons battled from behind and were able to close out the victory with a great late game performance from Tyler Smith on the mound striking out 5 of the six batters he faced.
Game 2 finished 13-4 in favor of the Tetons. Brady Miles again led the way with three hits. Jordan kelly and Josh Tibbs each had two hits helping the Tetons run away with a big lead early in the ball game. Rylan Penner gave the Tetons 5 strong innings while striking out seven batters.
Game 3 finished 12-8 giving the Tetons their third win of the weekend. Oscar Hargreaves, Kevin Paz, Brady Miles, and Josh Tibbs all recorded two hits. Perhaps the biggest hit of the day came from Josh Tibbs in the top of the seventh inning where he hit a solo home run to right center field giving the Tetons a one run lead. The Tetons would tack a few more runs on in the seventh. Tyler Smith pitched the last two innings of the game striking out two batters on his way to his third win of the season.
Game 4 finished 10-0 giving the Tetons their first sweep of the season. Ben Hul and Garrett Flaagan led the way with three hits a piece. The Tetons jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Logan Warkentin gave the Tetons four strong innings striking out 8 batters.
The Tetons head to Mount Marty on friday with a 5-1 record to open the season.
