Betancourt Commits to Oklahoma Wesleyan
Teton sophomore Alex Betancourt has committed to Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Alex is a middle infielder from Colorado. Alex transferred to WSC last spring from Lamar Community College. He was brought in to be a defensive specialist. This season he returned to serve in the same role. He has put together a nice season defensively as a whole. He took over short stop duties about ten games into the season. Alex has had a number of big hit this season for the Tetons that have helped them to reach a 28-14 regular season record.
Oklahoma Wesleyan University is an NAIA school that competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Coach Przybilla: "Alex is a great kid. He has been a joy to have in our program for the last year and a half. I am glad he has finally found the school he wants to attend. These decisions are very hard. They can out a lot of stress on the student athletes. Alex has handled it well. We wish him the best of luck in his future!"
