Denton Commits to Mayville State University
RS-Sophomore outfielder Jalen Denton has committed to play baseball next year at Mayville State University. Denton came to WSC from Pahrump, NV. He played in 50 games last year and was a major contributor on the 2023 Region XIII Championship team. Denton hit .319 with 52 hits. 9 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, and 36 RBI's. Denton impacts the game in many ways, but one of the most important is his base running. Denton was 19/19 in stolen base attempts last season.
Mayville State University is currently part of the North Star Athletic Association in the NAIA.
Coach Przybilla: "Jalen is one of the success stories we love to tell. He was a red shirt his first year and worked exceptionally hard on his game to put himself in a great position to play every day for us. He is one of the most athletic players I've ever coached. I am excited to see what is in store for him this spring and beyond. He will join a long list of former Tetons that chose Mayville State as their 4-year home. Jalen will do a great job continuing to represent WSC in his time at Mayville State."
