Teton Hockey falls to MSU
WILLISTON, N.D. (November 2, 2019) – The Williston State College men's hockey team fell in the opener of a two-game weekend series Saturday.
Playing NCAA Division-II Montana State University, the Tetons fell by a margin of 5-2 in the game to MSU. The loss drops WSC to 0-9 overall.
The Bobcats opened with a goal in the first period to pick up a 1-0 lead. Williston responded in the second period, tying the game at 1-1 on a Blaine Zabinski goal. MSU scored a pair of goals to end the second period and up the lead to 3-1. Luca Perret scored a goal in the third period before Montana State added to the advantage to close the game.
The Tetons took 43 shots-on-goal. WSC also made 38 saves in the game.
Williston State will host Montana State in another game on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
