Tetons Drop Home Opener in Five
The Williston State College volleyball team opened the 2023 season with conference rival Bismarck State College on Wednesday. The Tetons then fell to the Mystics in five sets to open the season 0-1.
Sam Timmermans led the Teton offense on Wednesday with 14 kills while Jacee Turcotte added 6 kills for WSC. The Tetons were set up by 35 set assists from setter Alexis Moline on the day.
"I am so proud of these young ladies and their performance in tonight's game. Even though it was a tough loss, we are walking away feeling confident and ready for the weekend tournament that's ahead of us. We recognize areas where we need to put in more work, and we are ready to get after it," said head coach Caitlyn Muder.
The Tetons travel to Arizona this weekend where they will play six games in two days starting with South Mountain Community College on Saturday morning.
