Volleyball Advances to the Region Championship
The Williston State College volleyball team won their seventh game in a row to advance to the Region Championship game on Sunday. The Tetons jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, winning the first set in extra points 26-24. Bismarck State would answer winning sets two and three 23-25 and 16-25. Right when it seemed like the season could be coming to an end, the Tetons found late life. They won the fourth set 25-23 to force a fifth set. The Tetons trailed 7-4 at one point in the fifth set before catching fire and passing the Mystics winning 15-13.
"Best game of the season," said the very excited head coach for the Tetons Caitlyn Muder.
Sarita Restrepo and Sam Timmermans both had 12 kills. Alexis Moline had 48 assists. Alyssa Oliver had 45 digs. Mya Pospisil had 6 aces.
The Tetons will now advance to the Region Championship on Monday in The WELL.
